Maidana destroys Khan. And I saw Khan's fight against Paulie, great exhibition of his talent.

But is Khan poised enough, or even skilled enough, at this point in his career to not get knocked out by a GOOD Maidana shot to his chin?

I don't think so. Maidana walks through Khan at this point.

The people that mayweather was hit by were much faster and had way way way more technical skills than maidana.

Whats wrong with talking about grazing blows? Thats all maidana will ever be able to land in this fight.

An amazing statistic from the malignaggi fight is that he was only able to land ONE PUCH to khans chin. Guess what? it was a pathetic JAB, not even a power shot.

Do fighters fall in a trap and fight Maidanas type fight, or does Maidana force the fighter infront of him to fight that kind of fight? Thats the real question!

compare the positioning of khans hands in the prescott fight and the malignaggi fight.

Prescott landed and had Khan stumbling all around the ring like the town drunk. Now is Prescott a skilled technical fighter? Freddie Roach may be the best trainer in the world, and he can improve Khan's defence, but at the end of the day you can't train a glass chin.

A flush Prescott shot would hurt most fighters, fact is he should never of been hit with that shot

                  good point.

Ortiz was a very good boxer. fundamentally sound. good speed, jab, and power punch accuracy.

but Maidana bullied him into a brawl. Does Khan get bullied into a brawl? We won't know unless they fight, obviously.

I still hold that Khan gets hurt and hurt bad. He'd have to drain Maidana's confidence with powerful shots, great countering, great defense, great jabs, etc.

I think Khan could do it. But my question is, can he do it at this point in his career?

Again, impossible to know, but I don't think so.

A boxer can do a hundred abdominal crunches, a thousand press-ups and dance with a skipping rope all day. He can learn the art of attack and defence. But one question, particularly pertinent to Amir Khan, continues to vex even the wisest boxing brains, can anything be done about a glass chin? Angelo Dundee, who guided the great Muhammad Ali, sees no great mystery. “You can't train a chin,” he said, simply. Goody Petronelli, the only trainer Marvelous Marvin Hagler ever knew, always used to say, “You can’t train a chin.’’ That is what Freddie Roach has to be concerned about. Roach told an old friend a while back that “Goody was right,’’ when asked about Petronelli’s philosophy. No amount of weight work to strengthen neck muscles, for example, will alter how quick a fighter’s brain goes blank when hit on the chin. That ability to absorb shock is a gift from a Higher Power not something you can improve, like a jab or a hook. Roach can improve Khan's defence, but when that chin gets pounded by a puncher it will shatter into a thousand shards of glass. And that is why GBP will not let Khan in with a big puncher.
