excellent fight last night, I really would like to see Mares vs Perez II.....

Although I think Abner Mares might have pulled this one out, I think a draw is a fair verdict. In the middle rounds, Perez was coming forward making the fight and when the round is too close to call, you have to give it to the guy making the fight. I think he stole enough of those rounds to keep his title via draw. However, unless Perez makes some changes (like going to the body early), I think Mares will win the rematch. I think if Mares moves more earlier while still getting to his body, in the second half of the fight he can step it up like he did in this one and sweep the final four to six rounds. But, I wouldn't count Perez out and look forward to the rematch Perez promised Mares....
