Christy Williams was dropped 42 times in a fight against Battling Nelson, and that's a record that will stand throughout all ages...It will never be beat!

Watch Max Baer vs Primo Carnerra.

Carnerra gets dropped a lot (14 times maybe?)

          A vicious beating...

Battling Nelson is a hall of fame lightweight champion from the early 1900's.

No dude, it wasn't woman's boxing. It was from a fight from 1902, when fighters basically needed to be counted out before someone stopped the fight (Nelson won by KO-17). Williams kept getting up, so...BTW, Nelson also visited the canvas quite often in that one, and depending on the source, he was dropped either 7 or 9 times in total.

And before someone asks if it was under the old 'London Prize Ring Rules' of bareknuckle boxing...no it wasn't, as it was Queensberry Rules with gloves and timed rounds.

Paul Diver hopes to break the record. I just don't know though. He never has been the same since that one win. He promised to never go near a gym again at least. When Paul Diver won, that's when I knew, anybody can win. Nobody is impervious to winning.

Jerry Strickland probably has the most knockout losses total. I stopped counting after 50. His record is 13-122 (5 KOs)

Ed Strickland takes the cake probably for most consecutive knockout losses. His record is 0-29, all by knockout!!!

At least the family has Reggie Strickland to make them proud

66-273-17 (14 KOs) No, that's not a joke, or a social security number, its Reggie Strickland's record.
