Flurries don't win fights, effective punching does !

This is for those who are so convinced and feel that Abnormal Mares won that fight convincingly tonight.

I can see how ABnermal's flurries and the way Perez would defend with a high guard could influence someone's view of the fight. But, Perez was taggin' that fool, while ABNERmal's was running and shoe shinin'.

Before y'all talk ****, my final scorecard read 116-114 for ABNERmal. But, it was a close fight, and a draw was not a bad result at all.

while I wholeheartedly agree with your general statement, I think Mares' punches were more effective than you are saying. Perez was tired late in the fight imo due to Mares' effective body work more than anything else, and clean quick shots definitely build up damage.

I feel like people dont even score body punches nowadays....which is ridiculous...

You must've missed the body work Abner put in as well as the over hand right that couldn't miss. That's hardly shoe shinning. Thoughts?

I do potna. And some of those body shots that Abner landed made Yonnhy back up and re-think his strategy.

Punches have to hurt to score. They have to visibly hurt.

Flurry or not if the punches hurt they score. If they don't it can be pretty obvious.

That's because a lot of casual fans and so called "experts" get fooled into thinking just because a guy is throwing a lot he's doing something. It's more about how many you can land and land effectively.
