I yelled at him in those middle rounds to STOP RUNNING, i guess he heard me cuz' he picked it up in the later rounds.
Right around the 11th I started to get a gut feeling that the fight felt like a draw as long as nobody got dropped.
When I heard the draw from the pissing stall, I figured it was the right call.Comment

Perez was solid in the early to mid rounds, Mares came on late and showed heart
i had no problem with the decision, in fact, i was slightly hoping that it would be a draw...neither deserved to lose...Mares made up for his mid rounds running with that furious late fight finishComment

My scorecard had AbnerMal winning by 116-114. Perez landed the cleaner, more effective punches, that's the reason the Aztec warrior got on his bike. But, he did a great job and did some good work as well, but, it was way too much shoe-shinin' and runnin'..
And Perez allowed AbnerMal to get off too much, and Perez needed to jab more.Comment

The Champ should have won because he made the fight happen, for the most part. The champ is not suppose to chase you, you're supposed to make the fight happen. They took away Dirrell's win from Froch, which I still think is a robbery, because the champ Carl Froch chased Dirrell for most of the fight and made the fight happen. Those who think Mares won should stay consistent and also say Dirrell beat Froch. I see some names who voted for Mares but didn't think Dirrell won. SMH.
Also, I thought Perez did way more than Froch so I actually have a good excuse as to why I thought Dirrell won his fight and Perez won his fight. Perez actually made the fight happen while Froch was chasing but getting tagged all night.Comment
