Comments Thread For: Bradley Hopes Welter Move Can Lure Mayweather, Pacquiao

Maybe they need to change Tim Bradley's nicknamed from "The Desert Storm," to, "The Focused Storm."

For during what has been a tumultous climb to the top of the very deep, and talent-laden, 140-pound weight class, the 26-year-old resident of Palm Springs, Calif., has remained as calm outside of the ring as he is slick, and, ferocious inside of it. [Click Here To Read More]

It seems like Paul Williams and Bradley are moving there because they know that it's a weak division there outside of Pac and Floyd. I hate to say this about Paul Williams, because he's kind of turned into a diva too. He hasn't even mentioned fighting any of the top 154 lbers after that fight with Cintron. I heard that Dzinziruk just recently reached out to Goosen and they ignored him. This is why guys like Williams and Bradley aren't marketable because they don't plant their feet in divisions and dominate them.

as expected, his venture at 147 is to get a shot at that big money fight against either floyd or pac. for me that is unnecessary because even if he stays at 140 and beats the other top fighters in that division he will still get that chance. i don't know why he's passing up the chance to show the boxing world that he's the best 140 pounder by fighting alexander. instead he bitched out and is fighting abregu next.

If Mayweather and Pacquaio don't fight each other, Braldey should definitely be in the mix. Williams and Martinez are P4P elites and should be considered first. But Bradley is a fringe elite himself and probably rates higher P4P than anyone either Money or Pac would be willing to fight. Mayweather is probably gonna lean more towards the two middleweights if the Pacqauio fight doesn't happen. But Pac isn't likely to fight either of those guys, and the only other superfight available to him would be JMM. And I doubt he and JMM will be able to come to terms because JMM wants the WADA testing and doesn't want to fight above 140. So Bradley is the only other superfight type fight available to Pac. Hell, I'd much rather see Pacquaio-Bradley than Pacquaio-Margarito.

He knows that Alexander will whip his ass. He knows it, we know it, and his promoter knows it.

Bradley is sort of pissing me off now. This I can't condone, I mean Jr WW is a very strong division as it is. I hope he isn't aiming for this because he hasn't done anything that would warrant a possible match up against Pacquiao/ Mayweather, especially at WW.
