McGirt's plan of attack for Gatti

From what I've heard I have to say I really think he is going to put out a great game plane. In an interview on ********* McGirt says that part of the plan is to hit Floyd anywhere from his head to his heals. He also says forget the chin because you won't hit it. Sounds very similar to Jirov's plan against Toney. Although that plan failed, it was due to the tremendous resilience Toney has. I would have to question whether Floyd has the same kind of heart Toney does. One way or another Mayweather is going to have to win this fight, fighting. He can't rely on defensive tactics because Gatti will be able to create offense. Corrales and Castillo are great offensive fighters and they couldn't hang with Floyd you might say. Well Castillo did very well and Corrales doesn't have the chin of Gatti. Not to mention those two don't have the same complete offense that Gatti has. Gatti easily has better jab than both Corrales and Castillo.

Anyhow McGirt will bring the right plan. Expect Mayweahter to have to fight for his life to have to win.

right. Medula oblongata. We have been in this boat before. One thing that stands out in discussing this fight, is the idea of Gatti being flat footed. He may dance around for a couple of minutes, but looks akward in doing so. You notice....he looked pretty decent displaying his "boxing skills" against fighters who are taylor made to suit that. Lets see exactly what he can do against someone who is extremely versatile and mobile as well.

Mayweather in my opinion doesnt need a gameplan to beat Arturo. He could beat him by standing in the pocket and making him miss: just like he did against Corrales and Castillo to a certain extent. I completely disagree with the idea PBF has to fight Gatti's game.....because Gatti's chances are slim if he expects Floyd to stand flatfooted in the pocket.

Another thing people have pointed out in the past is that Gatti slows down when he gets hit. Thats right....he slows down. Once he tastes leather, he fights on guts and sheer instinct alone. When Mayweather gets hit he shakes it off and continues his gameplan that was pre-destined.
