Lopez fought Matagwa at 122 and the argument can be made that he struggled to make weight and kept trying to knock Roger out instead of pacing himself-- he got himself in trouble. Gamboa fought Matagwa 126 yet Matagwa came in at 122 fight night. Im not saying that The weight advantage was the reason for the KO, but it did play a factor and after watching Juanma struggle against him, you can rest assured that Gamboa took the fight extra seriously. Gamboas got great ability and he displayed it.
