23-year old South Korean Lightweight Ji-Hoon Kim (21-5, 18 KO) lost every second of the fight on Friday night at the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas until the one second which counted, a right hand blast setting up a stoppage win with one second left in the opening round to secure victory over 26-year Panamanian Ameth Diaz (27-10, 19 KO). Good win for Kim. I'd like to see him in with Katsidis like alot of other posters have suggested. Would be a war.

the other dude was clearly hurt its just that the round was about to end and he probably would have survived the last couple seconds and possibly recovered by the next round

All I hear is title shot, title shot for any win against anybody, I need to see more of Kim. He lost every part of the first round until the Knock out, and this against a fighter who goes to sleep a lot. Don't rush the guy. From what I saw, he has a lot of room for improvement.

That guy Kim was fighting fought like a moron and would put his head to the side when Kim would punch. He would have gotten KO'd anyways. Teddy Atlas said that Diaz guy always had that bad-habit that was never corrected in the gym.

O no doubt their's room for improvement. But Kim is learning on the job, never had amateur experience. Ameth Diaz is a solid opponent who helped him on the journey to a more reputable status in the LW division.

Once he gets in with an elite LW we'll see his chin tested and his power on display. I can't wait for that.
