Comments Thread For: Bradley-Abregu, Angulo-Alcine Double, WBO is Pushing

BoxingScene.com was advised that doubleheader has been finalized for the HBO televised date of July 17 at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California. In the televised opener, Alfredo Angulo will face former junior middleweight champion Joachim Alcine (32-1, 19KOs) of Canada. Alcine has one loss, against Daniel Santos, from 2008. The fight was close until Santos caught him on the chin with a knockout shot in the sixth. [Click Here To Read More]

It appears that the WBO, much like myself, is tired of the Angulo myth. Looks like they're ready to let Dzinurik jab this bum back into fighting for tortillas in a bullfighting ring in Mexico.

I think Dzinruk needs one or two more fight before he goes against Angulo. Reason being is that he was on the shelf for almost 2 years but I can see what HBO is doing with them buying sometime, along with matching Anugulo against Julio....dzinziruk last opponent. Hopefully this is a fight that will take place later on this year (which is a push IMO) or early next year.

Alcine is a tough guy to look good against. Angulo should win, I'd be impressed if he does it looking spectacular.

I thought Angulo is going to fight Sergiy?

Let's see that fight. Alcine needs to get some more wins...

If Cintron can out box Angulo, then ZingZing should be able to pull the same rabbit out of the hat, and Bradly isn't Knocking out Jr. welters, so full welters might be too big for him to hurt. In any case Boxing is the name of the game.
