By Jake Donovan - The Cinderella story continues for resurgent super welterweight contender Ryan Rhodes, who keeps his title hopes alive after a sixth round stoppage over Luca Messi, Friday evening in his hometown of Sheffield, England.

Rhodes scored three knockdowns in the bout, including a vicious and delayed body shot knockdown in the sixth that proved to be the beginning of the end. An ensuing flurry left Messi defenseless, forcing referee Manuel Oliver Palomo to intervene.

The official time of the fight was 1:09 of the sixth round. [Click Here To Read More]

Margarito would eat Rhodes alive. But his performance tonight was good. All credit to him.

don't know about that, rhodes was a middleweight where as marg was a welter, so rhodes is the naturally bigger man, and has far superior skills and more expansive game

rhodes has never lost as light middle, so to say marg would eat him alive is a bit unkind to rhodes.

Gary Lockett was a fearsome one-punch KO machine.

He would probably punch Antonio Margarito's head clean off.

Into the cheap seats it would go.

Later on he would climb the steps up to row N and take Margarito's head of a fan who was hoping to take it home as a memento of Lockett's awesome power.
