It would depend. If I was me then I obviously wouldn't refuse the fight, I'd go in the ring take my licks then collect 40 million as I wouldn't even be able to make 100k in the ring.

If I was Floyd I would turn the fight down, if Pacquiao is not clean he stands to lose more than $40 million as he is in a situation where he has built a career that should sustain him for 3-5 more years.

How is it a horrendous failure when they didn't have half the promo and it's two non Americans where as Floyd and Shane have been known names in the sport much longer than cotto or PAC? Depends. Do I have a marketable name, am I undefeated and do I take a huge financial hit if I lose. If I were Mayweather the answer is no.
