I don't really trust the word of a photographer in the Wild Card Gym. But if true, it's a great fight. Katsidis really has the potential to derail Khan and put his career back a couple of steps. Khan should win, but damn is this a dangerous fight for him.
And I'd love to see that sparring video. Benavidez seems like an amazing prospect.
Apparently he will release a video of Khan getting a beating in sparring by Benavidez on the scene of boxing.
Nothing wrong with that, the video i seen of Manny - Benavidez sparring shows Benavidez putting it on Manny, he's got a lovely uppercut when he's on the inside.
I'm excited to see what he does in the future.
As for Amir - Katsidis, i think this will be an entertaining fight, i like Michael but i think Amir will get a tko win. I wouldn't be surprised if Kats is cut to bits either.
Fighting Katsidis without much preparation or rest time is fairly risky and is not a necessity.
He should be going after Prescott to get that monkey off his back, this is the time to do it.
In a couple of years from now if Khan is a big name and Prescott is likely to be no where to be seen, people will still be pointing back at that loss in which Khan could have rectified.
I can see the route GBP are going down, in fighting Katsidis instead Prescott. Khan got a lot of **** for the Prescott fight, as it was a nobody Khan was fighting in which he was topping a PPV.
If Khan fights Prescott again, GBP won't plausibly be able to sell it as a PPV, other then the possibility to see Khan get KTFO again.
In Katsidis there is a legitimacy in selling it as a PPV.
Still a tough fight for so soon, gotta respect him. It would be quite nice if he avenged his countryman's loss, and then his one, but looks like it may have to just be the former.
