Comments Thread For: Ricky Hatton: I Would Return To Fight Floyd Mayweather

Ricky Hatton continues to dream of a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Hatton has been dreaming of a rematch since Mayweather handed him his first career loss, by knockout, in December 2007. Hatton has not fought since last year's brutal knockout loss to Manny Pacquiao. He says the one thing that could tempt him to stage a ring return is a rematch with Mayweather. Ricky doesnt deserve that fight. He needs to prove himself first by beating the elite fighters. He is away because he got his ass whooped by Pacquiao,to fight Mayweather he probably has to avenge his loss to Pacquiao which he cant then he can talk about Mayweather.

Maybe he's just trying to say he will never fight agai

He wants to come back to take another ass whooping by Mayweather. That guy has got to 190 lbs, he'll be lucky to be beating any of the lower fighters let alone an elite counter puncher that has already knocked him out.

Hatton still has a chance against floyd, without the help of the referee hatton could have hurt floyd in the fight.

Boxing is not something that you can dither about is it. Going down the pub all the time and then when it comes to training just traininghard for 8 weeks and then think you are prepared.

PBF is training everyday. Thinking about fighting everyday. So hatton would be at a disadvatage and i see Floyd winning this time.
But in manchester it would be good. Even if hatton dont win he will put a good show for his fans.
