What It Is About Floyd the Fighter

People watch Floyd cause he's easy on the eyes (no ****) its easy to see his punches, counters, footwork, shoulder rolls, the guy is smooth in the ring, his fights are like an art appreciation class.

Its not that his fights or terribly exciting or he gets the KO, U watch just to see how he applies strategy & frustrate his opponent, After watching Floyd even professionals are inspired to improve.

Floyd only flaws IMO are his inability to please the crowd, KO his opponents, and his lack of punching combination..Beside all that, he's the most complete Boxer in the sport..

Its actually frustrating 2 watch fighters like Paulie or PW after watching Floyd, it makes u wonder what the hell are they teaching these guys, Floyd may have a point when he cites god given ability.

his ability to adjust on the fly to tackle his foe accordingly is his best asset... (at least to me)

The thing is, it's impossible to do those things and be as technically sound as he is. When you start throwing combinations you sacrifice your composure. Easiest way of saying things is with Pacquiao as fast as his combinations are a skilled fighter can pop him as whilst the punches are firing he is left open.

If one punch comes there's no room to land the counter, no room to start timing patterns in the combinations and such. It's harder to figure out where the punches are coming from.

When I was speaking to my dad the other day I mentioned this to him his ability to adapt. Against Khan Malignaggi had no answer for his jab, with Mayweather I have never seen a fighter continue to be successful with the same move set for the duration of the fight.

Paulie is a very good technical boxer, he's not great, but he's good..Paul Williams on the other hand, i don't know what to say, his boxing skills still look amateurish, same thing with Andre Berto, ect...IMO, Devon Alexander, Amir Khan, Sergio Martinez, Juan Manual Marquez, Wladimir Klitschko, Chad Dawson, Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Lopez, Floyd Mayweather, and many others are very good and great technical Boxers, these fighters knows that the game isn't all about speed and power..

In terms of pure boxing ability he is one of the best ever

But his 1 or 2 punch at a time style doesnt always please people

he actually started giving mosley a couple feints and a double jab along with that right hand. which i found to be rather impressive from mayweather. heck, that constant jab, period, has been impressing to me.

the ONLY thing i was truly disappointed with was the fact that he wouldn't put a left hook behind that right hand, even though mayweather was perfectly on balance and in position after landing it. just adding that last punch, probably mayweather's most powerful weapon, would have had mosley out of there by the 7th round.
