Do you guys think Steward can give Cotto his confidence back??

I picked Manny to dominate Miguel last year. Not simply because Manny's a better boxer (he is), but because since the Margarito fight I really felt like Cotto's confidence was just *gone*, and that would have a really negative effect on his performance.

Even against an inferior opponent like Jennings, I remember it taking Cotto a lot longer than it should have to move in and stop him.

Like he was afraid Jennings might have some trick up his sleeve.

A lot of people on here have claimed he's shot. I disagree with that, because I don't think his problems are as much physical as they are mental. Look what those back-to-back losses did to Zab Judah, who i make fun of a lot, but used to be a really good, competitive fighter.

Cotto's only 30, and the Margarito fight is pretty far off in the mirror. Can Manny turn him around?

Yes. Cotto's still young and can bounce back.

No. Manny beating his ass was the last straw.

I don't see it personally. I don't know. I have a lot of respect for Cotto, and I have got to give him mad props for taking on a world champion in a new weight class coming off of a loss.

Manny sounds like he doesn't expect Cotto to win.

yes i think Cotto has a few more fights in him yet, i think he will beat Foreman easily enough and then he might look to unify the 154 division.

Helping Cotto get his left hook to the body back would be the proper way of helping cotto get his "confidence" back.

I,m a big fan of Cotto & Steward for that matter, but i just think he has been in to many wars now & his body, reflexes & ability are on the slide & i fear if he hangs around much longer he's gona get hurt.

I think Cotto can definitley rebound because of his age and his heart. Having Steward in the corner won't hurt either.

I've been hearing about what a great camp they've been having and I think it the fruits of their labor will be clear on June 5. I see Cotto continuing at the elite level in a couple of weight divisions. JMW and WW

The reports of his demise have been greatly exaggerated. He lost to two elite fighters, he's also beaten a couple.
