In beating Pac, Morales showed Pac a style very similar to that as JMM. Except that Erik was more agressive and not always looking to counter.
Also, Pac-Morales wasn't really all that close when you consider the "effect" that Morales was having on Pac versus Morales' response to Pac best shots. A rematch would look pretty much the same, or, more likely, Erik gives Pac a worse beating.
Or, it may be the other way around. Hope this time Pac doesn't get cut. And wears his glove of choice.
Erik took Pac's best shots early in the fight, mid fight and more than a few in the 12th. Morales was definitely hurt in the 12th, but not staggered, not ready to go down, not ready to cover up and lay on the ropes, not ready to clinch and hang on for dear life. Same can be said for Pac, for not fading in the 12th, or backing-down after taking Erik's best for 12 rounds.
In a rematch, we'd see Pac having success tagging Morales with that same left hand, down the pipe. We'd again see Erik taking it well and countering effectively. Why would it go any differently?
I see one difference though, Erik probably wouldn't "give" Manny another round to prove he can take Pac's best. He's already done that. So, unless Pac has another higher gear, which I doubt, we'd should expect to see the first fight all over again, but not as close. Erik UD, 116-112 on three cards.
MANNY_P .... In summary, not only does Erik Morales have skills that exceed Pac's operall package, he can also take Pac's best shot and, more importantly, he has heart equal to Manny's. That's a tough combo to beat.
