After Holt-Torres II, I thought Ricardo still had plenty left in the tank, but then the rubber-match fell through and he was next seen months later looking off-color, but entertainingly so, in a tune-up turned life-and-death struggle down in Colombia with largely unknown Raul Pinzon, who'd been on a small-time KO tear until being blasted out in a round by teenage welterweight prospect Saul Alvarez (I highly recommend Torres-Pinzon if you can find a source, BTW, I only have it on DVD or I'd upload).
It's been a year with no fights since and nothing slated as far as I can tell.
Anybody got any news on where Torres is at, what his weight is like, what his plans are?
Nevermind seeing him at a world class level, I'm almost beginning to wonder if we'll never see this guy again period - would be a shame as Torres vs. Anyone typically makes for a great popcorn fight and the guy is possessed of a genuine wordless ring-charisma which draws you in and makes you anticipate his fights.
So what's the deal?
