Some need a lost to get that hunger.

I know how it feels to get that extra bit of motivation to run that extra mile, that extra KG in weights, push that little bit more vs the other team etc..

If all boxers were born from wealthy families and they all were University educated, boxing wouldn't be the same.

It's not polo or some **** here, it's a combat sport.

Anyway again, Holt would not deal with Khan right now.

Yes these ****ers and guys who have some speed can come in and take him out, but it's easier said than done.
Yeah the extra anger about your life probably does motivate people further. I agree that if college/university educated people started the sport it would not be the same. It would become like fencing.

But then again, I dont like the sterotype that boxers are intellectually limited. Or that you have to have a terrible background to be a boxer, There are probably alot of people out there that would have made great boxers but never put on gloves so never became great boxers.

I mean I have never played Golf, Its always been considered a rich mans sport and the sport of Presidents, But Im sure someone from a poor background can still be a great golfer if they are talented your background shouldnt make a difference but will obviously influence the sports you might play.

Boxing is the toughest sport in the world.

You need a lot to survive it.

Most sports is like a funnel, soccer u get legs injuries and stop at 17/18.

          Same with American football etc...

This happens in boxing too, but heart is in question.

Can a 17 year old take getting hit, black eyes, injured ribs etc? Will his parent let him carry on to be a pro when people die and get brain injuries?

          Golf is not the same.

If you poor, you gottta earn your meal. You box til 45 if you have to earn that last payday.

Waking up at 4 am to run, intense training on the body to make weight, getting hit, dealing with people who rob you like promoters, manager,s lawyers etc...

That **** tests a rich boy with everything on a plate.

A poor man who had a bad life, he won't earn 30k a year with a normal job so 30k a fight is great.

Not true profesional golf is VERY tough.Keeping going on mini tours is financially draining. To get on tour you have to compete with the best at Q school for only a few spots. If you fail,no tour for you . You have to wait a full year to try again.

Golf is a great sport for money. Some of the highest sports earners are golfers.

The average golf fan is middle aged or atleast rich. These guys make money.

To play a round of ball just to swing at is not cheap. To be in a top golf club you're paying thousands a year.

I agree it is financially draining, but you can get support to compete also. Finances being difficult is not the same as fighting.

a boxer has worries of money also, but his life is in danger.

The top pro's are durable and smart enough to make it, but boxers die and often injuries that end careers when u go down the spectrum.

It hurts to lose a boxing match and a golf game, but getting hit is not easy.

Getting hit by no level guys hurts. I can only imagine how pro's hurt.
