commentator in boxing. Man you can tell this guy is working extremely hard on his new craft because every time I hear him I see so much improvement. I really wish HBO would scoop him up because him and Kellerman (a guy that is improving and is very passionate about the sport) will be one helluva combo.

Yeah Tarver's cool but I just can't stand Kellerman at times...sometimes its the voice and sometimes he rides a fighter's nuts...Khan is beating the **** outta Paulie and he's trying his hardest to find something good to say about Paulie...

      I do like Tarver though...

If not Tarver, then I hope HBO scoops up B-hop. I don't if any of you guys have see his ring magazine break downs of boxing, but they are always very knowledgeable and informative. Not only that but if you pay attention to him while he is in the crowd for GBP fights, you will see how passionate he is about the sport, even when there aren't big name fighters fighting during a card. B-hop loves the sports, is one of the most knowledgeable guys around and also has a good personality as well.

what do you think about b-hop. That dude is so ****in knowledgeable about the science and history of the sport. Man if you haven't had a chance....check out the ring magazine articles in which he has his own segment at the end of all the magazines. He usually is breaking down technique, but they are very interesting to read none the less.

I prefer good commentators. And Tarver is one of the rare ones who is both.

Hopkins would be terrific. But there is just no way that HBO can have him while he owns part of a promotional company. Too many GBP fighters are are in HBO main events.

my favorite commentator today. very intelligent and professional. No biases. I get sick hearing guys like lampley, kellerman, merchant, atlas all them mu****as who can't help it but show there biases BLATANLY during fights. Showtimes team of Burstein, Tarver and gus johnson are the the best team right now.
