Ortiz is no powder puff puncher though . If a stoppage is on the cards for Khan it will probably be from an accumulation of punches because maidana is very hittable. Khan might just be happy with winning rounds but maidana can end it with a well placed punch. A very good match up.

Maidana got dropped and doesn't have THE best chin ever either

With the jab and speed i can see a Khan knockout or stoppage, sure Maidana has great power but he actually has to be in a position to land it effectively
Watching him VS Koltelnik who was one of few actual boxers Miadana has faced, he got jabbed by a slow guy. His hands were incredibly low and he was always there to be hit.

He feeds off a war, but he is not great at boxing. That's how he got Ortiz.

Now Khan doesn't have thudding power, but his speed and power are enough to hurt anyone. I have seen Khan sicne 2004 and his power is getting better, but he use to drop/hurt a lot fo the guys he faced. Granted they were bums, but he is defintiely suited to 140 and age has helped him get man strength.

        His conditioning is top.

I agree Oritz hits like a bull. But the shots that dropped Maidana from Ortiz were the shots he didn;t see, Ortiz's counter right hook. Khan's right hand comes straight after his left often within 1 sec. He didn;t do it so much agaisnt Paulie because Pualie knew it was coming and ducked.

However Khan hits like a leopard.

Agile and fast, his pounce is hard to see and can drop. hurt you.

Paulie isn;t slick, but he is harder to hit than Miadana. Both have hands low, but Miadna doesn;t actually duck, he takes it.

Khan has that type of speed that will put you off your game and hurt you.

Maidana is so flat footed and open that he will feel the right aswell.

His chin is good, abit like JMM, gets tagged and dropped but comes back.

        Speed kills in boxing.

Read my posts and look at my assessment.

I have seen over 10 fights with Maidana.

Enough to get a judgement on him.

Stats are real and cool, but numbers can lie.

Wazaa is a cool cat, but I'm a boxing fan aswell as Amir's.

Look at my psot above and the first and tell me what or why I am wrong.

                Just kidding buddy

I agree with you Maidana can get get beaten by a boxer with decent skills (he got partially undressed by soft punching Andriy Kotelnik)

But Kotelnik got a good chin while Khans chin is a big big questionmark at best!
Altough Khan improved since he signed up with FRoach he did not fight an single hard punching fighter since Prescott.

I don't believe that "unbalanced" storry you are not hurt like Khan was against Prescott 'cause you are unbalanced.

Yeah Khan can outscore Maidana but he has to keep his chin tucked for 12 rounds and Maidana just needs to land one good shot so do the math.

                Just my 2 cent.

Amir will beat Maidana. Maidana had the pleasure of luring his latest opponents into brawls, which played to his hands. Amir will box his ears off. I can see a corner stoppage happening.

I have to agree, I'm quite confident he would win and he has the power to stop him but his defense is much better now and he'll just jab the **** out him like did to Paulie.

Yes I agree Kotelnik has a good beard, but Maidana was hitting his arms mostly.

Maidana has been dropped by others too who don't have speed or that great power. Well I'd say Khan can hit Maidana and make him miss in return.

Nothing more dejecting than getting hit without hitting back.
