No doubt about it. Michael Buffer is washed up. I'd like him to retire. In recent times, it has become quite apparent to me, just how much better of an announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr. is.

Buffer's up and down announcing of names is very amateurish. Jimmy, on the other hand, doesn't sound like a strangled cat when announcing names and does it much more consistently.

Buffer is living off his catchphrase, image and days gone by. There just isn't much quality to his announcing anymore.

Quite frankly I've become bored of hearing that same ol' catchphrase every single week. I wouldn't mind hearing new, different announcers every now and again - some would be crap, others would be an interesting change.
