Mayweather vs. Gatti--the delusion?

I don't get it... many people who post on the mayweather vs. gatti fight seem to believe that Gatti has even greater than a small chance to defeat mayweather. Some even go as far as saying that he will KO mayweather devastatingly and easily. Isn't it obvious that Gatti has a miniscule chance of defeating Mayweather? If Gatti defeats mayweather, that would be an upset (talent-wise) on the level of tyson vs. douglas or Tarver vs. Jones 2. So why all the people who think Gatti has a great chance? Is it a mass delusion?

Because they like Gatti and hate Mayweather. Even so, I think most of them are just denying the fact that Mayweather have more chance of winning than the other way around for Gatti. They just won't admit it.

I'm rooting for Gatti. But if I have to bet money, I'll put it on Mayweather.

i dont hate mayweather, i think gatti has a lot of heart and skill, and he is italian. but he is just my favorite fighter and i see him having more power and probably training for this type of fight, i dont think he has the upper hand but i believe he has a chance, as does mayweather.

I agree, ppl just like Gatti, but betting with the heart and not the head is bad idea, so I'm going with Floyd. I think he will tool Gatti pretty easily.

Yeah, that's true. But it was a huge upset when hatton beat tszyu and it was a very tough fight. The talent gap between gatti and mayweather is much bigger than between hatton and tszyu.
