Khan being hyped up way too fast.....

First and foremost, this is not a hate thread or bashing thread. My simple opinion is that people are hyping Khan up way too much and too fast. Ok he beat Malignaggi, who isn't the greatest fighter by the way, but lets see him start taking on a lot of other contenders before even putting Floyds and Pacs names in the mix. And also, people have him undoubtedly and easily beating Maidana and Alexander and even Ortiz. I just can't believe how fast people make up their minds without letting things play out a little bit. Personally, I think Alexander would rip through Khan and all Maidana has to do is land 1 single punch and it is over. Ortiz and Bradley would make for even, toss-up matches for Khan. But he is not the next P4P King yet, so people should stop over hyping him before he proves anything. Then again, this is a forum where people can say whatever the hell they want, so I guess its all good.

Does anyone else think the same about Khan?

I need to see him fight an elite and not win by bull****. Then Con has all my respect.

the only weakness he has shown is his chin, otherwise there is nothing bad you can say about Khan, he has good speed, power and con box very well

I dont know why people hate khan SOOOO much just because of his chin, he has great skills

There is no "elite" in the JW division, all are young fighters who havent fought the "elite" themselves

I don't think he's being overhyped, I just think he's fun for fans to talk about.

A ***********, ******, Brit, with personality has people talking in the boxing world. Which is what we need more, these fighters today have no personality. Kahn is something new.

I can't imagine any true hard-core fans thinking he beats the top guys at this stage in his career. BUT, the way Roach is building him you can see the difference already.

He never use to box the way he is now, and with his natural talent and youth theres a lot to be excited about.

Hes being hyped on these forums and in britian, not in the general US viewers.

You can tell because he only sold 4400 tickets in MSG theater

                  I'll rephrase it.

I want him to fight the top dogs in the 140 division and not win by bull****. Then he gets all of my respect.

He doesn't need to win by kayo, a simple decision and he would get my respect.

Guessing you ment Pakistani not *********** unless I missed something somewhere? Hes been hyped in the UK from day 1 but he did show glimmers
of why people have been treating him like the coming of the messiah in the fight vs. maliggnagi.

No one can deny his sharp skills and pure talent, but until he takes some damaging shots there is always going to be a question mark over his punch durability. I think Alexander would make light work of Khan at this time. Just test the chin and see if it crumbles again. If it survives he will be great.
