How good is Antonio DeMarco?

He is obviously his best win so far. I remember when this fight was announced most people were saying Antonio would box his ears off ect ect ....






Does he get much credit for that win?

As i recall Demarco was a huge underdog almost everyone I knew would not give Demarco a chance against Valero. Overall Demarco is young and there is room for improvement.

You know how crap DeMarco is? He couldn't win one single round against an aggressive fighter who has horrible defense. He went into a defensive shell and didn't let his hands go because Valero made him soil his jockstrap.

DeMarco was untested and his ranking was questionable, but he was the best fighter Valero fought so he must be great.

Im not going to say I was super high on him but I really liked him. However, I thought he was a straight ***** in that fight. Even before the fight I thought he was a *****. He was in the ring and while Valero was on one side looking like he was ready for war & ready to kill, Demarco was on the other side messing with his baby & blowing kisses to her non stop. You could just tell that he wasnt prepared at all.

Then during the fight he was so basic & bland. I think the corner kinda screwed him up like Williams screwed him up in the Cintron fight. There plan was to basically sit back against Valero, fight safe in the 1st half, Valero would tire, and then take over in the 2nd half. Doing that though only put rounds in the bank for Valero and by time it came for DeMarco to kick it up, he couldnt because he had takened too much punishment,

Valero had mad confidence, and DeMarco had lost confidence. It was just a truly weird performance. He shouldve just came out in his normal style, been aggressive, and let the chips fall where they may. Instead he looked like a weak, no heart clown

The majority were saying Demarco would lose. I was one of the FEW who felt Demarco would win.

DeMarco was outclassed by a superior lightweight. But he can still have a decent career if he is realistically matched.
