Roy Jones Jr: The real deal or a 3$ bill?

Do you believe Jones was the real thing or was he a fast fighter beating up on stiffs? My friend and I were having a heated discussion over this and I just wanted you guys thoughts... Thanks

He just got lucky against Toney and Hopkins and what he did to Virgil Hill any decent fighter could have done. Okay he went from middleweight to heavyweight champion but it's not like it haven't been done before. He's not really that special. Decent left hook and speed and some fancy footwork. That's basically it. I also heard he went a few years without hardly losing any rounds but it's not that hard if your a runner with fast hands.

If anybody thinks Jones was just a fast guy beating up stiffs, they probably just started watching sometime in the last 5-10 years. Or they're just ignorant like tortilla guy.

Case and point. Some people have no concept of boxing history pre 2005.

We'll be very lucky if we ever see another boxer like Roy Jones. He's a "once in a lifetime" fighter for me. And I've seen almost every top boxer for the past
                    "mumble-mumble years" until today.

There are many really top fighters, probably some as good as Jones, but not "like" him. He has his own individual, one-of-a-kind talent.

And the more I've seen of him, the more I know that Tarver was lucky, just pure luck.
