In my opinion, Katsidis would be undefeated if he fought the same opposition as Valero. DeMarco can not beat Katsidis. Katsidis was already in with better fighters like Casamayor, and Diaz. And Katsidis looked good against Casa before getting TKO'd late.

I think he would have. He kept improving with each fight and also had the ability to go 12 rounds from start to finish giving it his all. I assume that when he stepped up competition, he would've readied himself and would have been able to handle his own. Not to many fighters can take the punches Valero delivers. Valero also had a granite chin. Given a few years he would've been one of the top. His technique wasn't noteworthy, but the fighter inside him was what stood out and made him win fights. That's something a lot of ATG's lack.

No. Because of his premature death he'll become extremely overrated. He had flaws that would have been exposed by the true top fighters.

No but I reckon he could've become a top ten pound-for-pounder for at least a little while.

Not taking into look that 24 of his 27 opponents were poor and/or journeymen he was extremely flawed technically.
He kept his hands down a lot,he always had his chin out to be hit,he smothered himself on the inside way to much,he could be caught coming in counterpunching, his jab wasn't super impressive, his punch technique was flawed taking away from his power, etc.
Very good fighter he would have turned out but an all time great I wouldn't say so.

                  He's already an ATG.

27-0 w/ 27 k.o's and nobody in the landscape that would've challenged him.

He would've worked over anyone at 140 currently and anyone at 35 outside of JMM who is a living legend.

Bradley, Alexander, Khan and the rest of em' all get waxed by the Lizard King Valero.

Valero was very overrated on here and I doubt would have beaten Peterson had that fight not fallen through.

lolz at the discussions about him beating Bradley and Pac ffs.

He was ok but more a product of soft opposition.

with his record you can consider that he has a future. however, the thing that left question mark on how he could become one of the atg was that he has never been tested to fight a better known boxer.
