So Roy wasn't a boxer?? He was a slugger, a come forward brawler? You saying Roy didn't use all around skills in the ring? Roy was always compared more with SRR than any other fighter, gee I wonder why? Perhaps his skills and abilities had something to do with it?

thank you SO much for this thread. Whenever someone tries to say that Floyd fans know boxing, all I have to do is refer them to this thread.

So its apparent your just hear to criticize the best way you can, you remind me of Larry Merchant, always got something negative to say about Pure boxers.

Roy wasn't a "PURE" boxer you ass booger. The title of this thread CLEARLY says "PURE" boxers rule the sport.

I never said anything negative about pure boxers in this thread.

Again Ray Leonard was an overrated boxer but underrated slugger.

Do you consider Tommy Hearns a pure boxer?

And, Hearns was outboxing Leonard. But, Leonard out slugged Hearns.

If you mention Sweet Pea to a casual fan they always know everything about his career and how much money he made. When you mention Tyson, they are like "isn't that the guy Lewis KO'd?".
What casual fans do you hang around that know Sweat Pea's career before Tyson's ?

I thought I mentioned that the names on my list possessed all around skills and god gifted abilities. They can win with their boxing alone but if need be they have the ability to transform.
