BHop ducking Bute or Bute ducking BHop?

I read in an article here on BS, that HBO is trying to match Pavlik with Bute. Although that would be an interesting fight down the line, everybody (that's you, me and HBO) knows that Pavlik is not ready for Bute @ 168 yet (coming of a loss and just moving up).

The article states that HBO pushes the fight, 'cuz they can't find an (useful, durable, crowd pleasing or whatever) opponent for Bute for his next tv-date (that’s not transvestite )

Since we all know, that Hopkins is exclusively looking for bigger paydays, but seem to have problems finding opponents, that can pay his bills (without brain damaging him), why don’t Bute and Hopkins decide on a weight and fight.

All the BHop haters (plenty) would watch to see him take a beating and all the Bute fanboys would watch Bute secure yet another easy win. Money in the pocket right there 4 both!

    So who’s ducking who??

Bute ducking him simply because he's scared B-Hop will hold him for 12 rounds and he might fall asleep!

    I wouldn't even go there....

Why does it have to necessarily be a duck on anyone's part as a reason why a fight doesn't go down?

It doesn't necessarily, but it's conceivable since both men is in the need of an opponent?

For Bute a Hopkins win doesn't do too much for him now as ppl will just say he is an old man neither does Pavlik much as he would be coming off of a loss to a jr MW in his last fight before moving up to 168 to fight Bute.

Looks like he might just be taking fights to stay busy until the tourney is over because Steiglitz seems not to want to unify as both of this losses are stoppages against guys Bute himself stopped.

I agree. But in the consideration of a stay busy-fight a boxer disregard the notion that his opponent is supposed to carry some meaning. He’ll look for a high reward/low risk fight!

BHop is neither (at least he's not low risk), so I suggest someone is ducking?
