I just dont get how fighters now think that they dont need to start from the beginning to even fight the top fighters now. You just lost one of the biggest fights and now you want to fight another top fighter?

I do think that he can squeeze out Margarito to become Pac's "Plan B".....
1.) Arum wants Margarito, for obvious reasons
2.) Pac/Roach would prefer Marquez, for obvious reasons
3.) Manny gets what he wants..... FACT !!
4.) All Marquez has to do is.....
a) keep mouthing off
b) agree to the weight

Robert Duran use to do this all the time...as well as other fighters. They would fight a bunch of fights in which they didn't try to cut as much weight 130-146 then cut weight to 135 for a LW bout. Don't believe me..go check boxrec.

Manny wont be cutting muscle because he was 142 the day of the weigh in without cutting any water weight. You can easily drop 7-10 lbs by dehydrating (like 99% of boxers do to make weight) and still be good for the fight the next day.

No way Freddie lets Manny drop down to 135.

I think Alex Ariza would have something to say about that as well.

Knocking Marquez down Pacquiao proved he was the bigger puncher and had a better chin. NOT that he is a better fighter. Marquez proved that he was a better fighter by going down 3 times in the 1st round and then winning the majority of the rounds after that to make it a draw. Learn boxing kid.

You mean like De la hoya making 147? Yeah it's ok for Pacquiao to make all these fighters come down in weight but he won't do it. This is why I don't like him. P4P Catchweight King of the world.
