Well when talking about maybe 1 class jump yes, but when huge disparities like 3 weight classes are involved you can bet it matters. Just look at how Chambers could do nothing against Wlad, or how JMM could do nothing against Floyd, or Pavlik got dominated by Hopkins.

You could make cases for both at times, right now I would say they lose to him because he is skilled, fast, and much bigger and stronger but if either could catch that chinny chin chin with a flush shot its nap time for Amir.

But look out for Juanma. I swear he is destined for great things if he stops underachieving. He could possibly end up like Cotto at the rate he is going right now but I hope not because he really does have that much skill.

Khan would knock out Gamboa in 1 round. Neither Khan's or Gamboa's chins are very good, Gamboa has been knocked down several times by featherweights and his defence aint that good either. A weak chinned 5'5 featherweight vs a weak chinned 5'10 light welterweight who punches way harder and is just as fast.

Lopez is a bit bigger and he has a good chin but the fact is that Khan is better in everything except chin. Khan is faster, Khan is bigger, Khan punches harder, Khan has better technique, Khan has better defence. Khan would knock him out within a few rounds.

There's a REASON we have weight classes you know. P4P it could be said that Juanma and Gamboa are better but H2H? They wouldn't stand a chance.

If you are talking about if Gamboa and Lopez could knock out Khan if they got a free shot at him then offcourse they could. If a proffesional boxer no matter what weightclass get's a free shot at another boxer then it would result in a knock out. Gamboa could probably knock out Bradley, Ortiz, Alexander, Maidana aswell IF he got a free shot at them.

Well no doubt Amir would beat them....they are little FWs but if they could manage to get through a few rounds or early just smack Khan on the chin with a hard shot......its not out of the question in my mind that he takes a nap.
