Norris went downhill fast after that fight. I believe he had a fight set with Trinidad if he had beaten Mullings.

He did-Mullings did him a favor. Norris was shot in that fight. Just watch it again. I couldn't even believe what the announcers were saying. Actually, he looked pretty bad against Nick Rupa before that. Mullings caught him at the right time...and wasn't too bad a fighter himself.

Yeah after seeing that fight, Norris would have gotten knocked out in embarrassing fashion by Trinidad. I also remember Norris looking bad against Rupa. Some people say the years of hard sparring contributed to Norris early slide. I've been told that even he and his older brother Orlin used to go at it hard in sparring. I don't know if that's true but I've heard that from more than one person. The last time I saw Mullings was against David Reid.
