Matchup wise I'm not so sure that SRL would have as easy of a time everyone else does. Pac will be awkward for any fighter to face and combined with Roach, he should have the right gameplan going into this fight.
Would you agree that Pac is in his absolute prime right now @ 147...??

Or do you consider 130 to be his prime when he had his string of fights with MAB, Erik and JMM...

People agree that he's improved drastically since then, so i'm under the impression he's in his Prime right now at 147, so I think this is a fair comparison...

      NO.

      why?

its pointless. this is a favorite ***** past time here on this whole god forsaken site. floyd vs this past all time great. with the *****s always choosing floyd.

how can i say anything good about floyd?

look at his last 5 opponents man. what is there good to say? Just look at their ages & conditions surrounding the fight.

did you read the mike silver boxing historian interview thread about floyd & pac today?

of course not. here you go.

basically said what i was saying before the fight.

        Truly I do.

But Leonard is the best Combination Puncher EVER.. and I mean EVER!!
and Pacquiao out of all the atg's Leonard has faced would have been the easiest to hit... And I mean Easy.

So when you have the Best Combination puncher ever fighting against a guy who is easy to hit like Pacquiao. and who bruises easy like Pacquiao.
and who can not fight well with Blood running down his face like Pacquiao.

I seriously believe Pacquiao would have been carried out that night.
I truly believe it with all my heart and soul.
Pacquiao vs. SRL, Hearns, and SRR @ 147 would get Brutally KTFO...

        Both eyes shut.
        Jaw Broken
        Ear drum busted
        and teeth missing..

NO HATE. just my honest belief.
The thing about SRL doing all that to Pacquiao is he'd be taking chances (which he liked to do), but Ray himself was hit plenty of times in his career when he started fighting big names. Ray was never a virtuoso defender like Floyd is today or Sweet Pea was. Pacquiao to me resembles a bit of the old school fighters who weren't the greatest defenders, but that didn't equate to them automatically losing fights. Some dudes are just built to take shots and keep coming. Training for 8 weeks won't make you the most durable fighter as has been proven for years and years.

I see Pacquiao getting roughed up, but I also see SRL getting hit solid too. But SRL was a tough SOB and I think that in the end would do Pacquiao in. But again, I don't believe it would be a complete shutout on the part of SRL.

He is more complete now at 147 but he'd be better matchup against ATG's @ 135-140. He's @ 147 chasing big fights but you cannot argue the fact that he is a small WW.

I agree that he's a somewhat small WW...

He is chasing big fights, but the guys he's fighting are still fighters who are either Top 10 P4P (Cotto) or Top 5 WW ( Clottey), these are his last two opponents so he's built into the WW body now...but I get what you are saying...

The thing is, if I match him with ATG @ 140 or 135 it's the Pac withouth the complete skill set....other than the 140 fight with Hatton...

whats all the ****in complainin about. either answer the question or dnt come in the thread. i dnt get u dudes...act like a buncha bitches.

nyways, ima just say if manny or floyd were around in 1981, i dnt think they move up in weight. hearns and leonard trolled that division and it took some exceptional fighters to even challenge them.

You really think the top 5 ww or top 10 P4P today hold a stick up to those lists in SRL's days?

                  No...

What I'm saying is we have to base Pac off of the competition he's facing today...
