    How Many Amateur fights did Paul Williams have?

    Not very many. Which is probably why we need to give him credit for beating guys without that kind of experience.

      yeah i heard he never had that many just wanted to know how many fight he had

        Paul got his start in boxing from the suggestion of a family friend who saw him fight in a school bus. The driver suggested that Paul use his energy in the boxing gym, and connected him with a manager and trainer. Williams fought only 20-25 fights as an amateur before turning pro at the age 19

          He's a Mexican with Allen Iverson height. This is why I don't understand why people don't praise him like they should.

            Wilfredo Vazquez JR, 0 Amateur fights, pick up boxing at 21 ,at 26 years old and 18 fights he is a world champ!!

              By beating a guy coming up in two weight divisions and already having a father who was a professional fighter?

                    Just because those other guys are no good doesn't mean that Vasquez Jr didn't have the benefit of having a dad to show him how to box where Paul Williams didn't.
