all im hearing is vitali klistchko is fighting this guy, VK is fighting that guy, VK is dodging whoever. ive been looking all over, ESPN, boxrec, yahoo, boxing scene, and HBO. all ive heard about maskaev and klitschko is from these forums. now, personally, i think hasim rahman is a bum. but oleg maskaev give a new definition to the word "bum". and all this BS about VK fighting maskaev is either from a very private source or just ****** rumors.

if anyone can prove VK is fighting oleg like a website or news article or something? if not, please put this ridiculus matchup to rest.

The fight hasn't been set. Of course you wouldn't have heard anything on boxrec, or espn. They tell about fights when they're going down, not when the contract negotiations have just begun.

He doesn't have a set opponent yet.

If he does take some bum, and skip his mandatory, then he loses all credibility in the eyes of boxing fans, except the most hardcore Vitali fans.

That would be an interesting fight to have in Kiev or Moscow. For Vitaliy, it would be a good
preparation for his mandatory defense against Rahman.

Do some homework before you make a new thread that qualifies as SPAM with the amount this topic has been discussed.

Go and look throught the pages of ********* and ********** yourself. There are several articles, one on BT with Shelly Finkle (Klitschko's advisor) stating directly they were looking at Maskiev as an opponent.

HBO has now gone on record saying they will not promote this fight, so it's not happening.
