Flashy yes, but not slick. Whether he moved or not, he still doesn't move his head much, gets tagged too easily and just flat out doesn't do all the necessary things to considered a "slick fighter"

Totally agree with you TS........Paulie is far from slick.......has little to no head movement as was evident in the Khan fight......he got tagged far too easy

I got flamed and called a hater for this a while back, but honestly, just because you move around the ring and slip a few punches....does not mean your slick. There is more to it than that, and last night Malignaggi was exposed big time (for things I have always noticed about him).

i always though he was a slick operator and to be honest i was waaayyyy wrong. i remember his fight vs ndou where he showed a good defence, good combinations and he slipped alot of shots.

now that i think about it though any fighter who is easily tagged by hatton and cotto (neither are very sharp punchers), can't really be all that slick. imo paulie had very poor footwork at times as well, at some points he was pulling out of clinches in straight lines and he didn't seem to realize that he was in range until too late.

very true mate.......Juan Diaz is too slow and made Paulie look super fast........IMO Khan is probably the fastest boxer in the world and made Paulie look real slow....

Paulie was never slick. He relied on his speed and reflexes, but cause Khan had him beat in both departments he had nothing to compete with

The way he fights, he needs to speak to Floyd Mayweather Sr about the shoulder roll. If he used that, his right hand would be used much more. His a floyd fan, he needs to watch him, they both have something in common, brittle hands.

Yeah I heard that as well. I also heard Roach tell Khan to go to the body as well and when Amir did he hurt Paulie really badley. I felt if he would have done that more like Roach told him, he could have stopped khan with a body shot a lot earlier in the fight.
