According to Puerto Rican newspaper 'San Juan Star' WBO jr. middleweight champ Daniel Santos (29-2-1; 20KOs) will make his next title defense versus former welterweight monarch Cory Spinks (34-3; 10KOs). In fact, Santos should fight his mandatory challenger Sergej Dzindziruk (30-0; 21KOs) of Ukraine but it looks like Don King, representing both Santos and Spinks, reached an agreement with Dzindziruk's handler Klaus Peter Kohl of Germany and the European contender would momentarily step aside and allow Santos vs Spinks to go ahead in the fall.

Any month specifically?
This should be an easy win for Spinks. I don't think Santos has the quick hands or devastating power neccessary to trouble Spinks. I think this is a good way for Cory to get some confidence back against a guy who has "beaten" a good fighter in Margarito. -

I don't think that Cory has the chin for junior middle, santos is very big for that weight, almost coming in as a light heavy, I think poor cory will get kayoed and retireComment

, Santos will pull the upset and get a UD or SD.

Santos has been sitting and doing nothing with his title at 154 for a long time, good move for Cory. He should be able to outbox the slower Santos to a UD victory setting up a bigger fight down the line with the winner of the Mayorga vs Piccirillo fight. Remember where you heard it first.

Get over itOriginally posted by oldgringoOf course he will. Spinks could be fighting Ivan Calderon and you'd pick Calde by late upset TKO...
