Khan is GBP's new poster child. He's on the same PED's that Vanes and Pacquiao are on. Of course they don't want to use OST. HA

        Schaefer

"Now that I've learned more about this, boxing now will have an outspoken advocate for blood testing in the sport," Schaefer said. "I plan to ask Nevada to have Travis Tygart explain why blood tests are necessary. "

Just shocked that a great advocate for leveling the playing field and a person that is in the position to require these tests isn't doing it. Just shocked that it was only May-Mosley that got the OST and NONE of the undercards.

If the fighters asked for it they would have it done , its not up to the promoters they are neutral to what the particular fighter wants , if it was mandated by the Commission which it will in the next few years then it would be just done , but its not a required law so its at the request of the fighter , you know the other guy getting in the ring against a possible drug enhanced opponent , how the *** can asking for a no cheat fight be wrong .

Did you read Schaefer's quotes he believes that OST is necessary for fights. Shouldn't GBP be concerned about their fighters well being and fighting in an even playing field?

I'm surprised there is no info on Schaefer talking to the commission yet.

                  It's because they don't care.

They're a company first, it's the same reason they don't stack there undercard. They are in it to maximise profits they only did the OST for Floyd-Mosley because it was a huge fight and Floyd demanded it.

It's an expense they can do without. They assume the commissions will do the sufficient amount of testing.

Blood testing isnt a rule in the sport yet. Its a choice that clean fighters usually take to protect themselves from dirty fighters. It has nothing to do with who can afford it or who cant, or who has a big name and who doesnt. Even fighters with BIG names & DEEP poctects duck blood testing. But in all in all the OST was a item placed in a CONTRACT it has nothing to do with the commission. YOu either agree or disagree, its simple!

Well GBP can take not from Sauerland, looks like these guys are a step ahead of GBP. I mean with Schaefer and Tygart so close, you'd think they would do the same for their stable.

In January German public television network ARD extended its contract with Sauerland Boxing through 2015 and added a stipulation that all of the boxers in the Berlin-based boxing stable, and their opponents, undergo Olympic Style drug testing as a condition of fighting on the network.
