When Gatti loses, it's because he has problems making the weight.

If he didn't have problems making the weight, he would have won.
That's what I was thinking as well.

If the fighter dsnt make the weight the fight is off unless the other fighter agrees to fight him anyway, as somebody mentioned above. If they do agree to fight it will not be a title match and the fighter who did not make the weight will be punished afterwards, don't know if it's a fine or if he gets stripped form the title. If they don't agree they can find another oponent to fight one of them.

This happened recently when Mayorga was scheduled to fight Rivera. Rivera did not fight against Mayorga and Mayorga got to fight another oponent. Rivera saw no action that night.

I think Gatti will make the weight on the 3rd try, just like what happened to Cotto once.

It would still be a title fight but if Gatti wins he loses his title. If Mayweather wins he becomes the new champ.

I could see excuses the other way as well. Even if Gatti doesn't make weight this fight will happen! Too much money involved for it not to. Gatti doesn't make weight, knocks Floyd's ass out and has the excuse that Gatti outweighed him by 20lbs. Stay at 135 then if you don't like it Floyd. People have been dropping mad pounds for years so they could out muscle, out power, over size their opponents. It's one of the most used tactics in boxing these days. If Gatti loses nobody ****ing cares, he was supposed to lose he fought arguably the best fighter in the world. Arturo isn't even in the top 20.

As much as I like Gatti, that would be really lame if someone tried to pull that excuse. Gatti should be fighting at 147, at least. He's not the only fighter that packs on the pounds after weigh-in, and that's certainly not an excuse for losing. Gatti has just reached an age where he can't drop the pounds like he used to. If he loses to Mayweather, I can see him retiring, after a few fights at 147, or maybe just packing it in right away.

I read that they will have separate weigh-ins. Is this true? If it is I hope that Mayweather's camp will have someone there to watch that scale. They say the reason for it is so Gatti and Mayweather don't get into a fight before Saturday. That's bull**** to me because they haven't even come close to fighting at any of the press conferences.

Don't you get the feeling PBF is taking Gatti too easy?

PBF's got better skills. But he better defend well
against the power punching Gatti or he'll see stars
                      during the fight.
