Warren didn't protect Calzaghe like some people make out on here.

It was Calzaghe himself who actually went out of his way to avoid elite fighters. Like Glen Johnson for example and Tarver called him out relentlessly and Warren from what I understand was willing to make those fights and Calzaghe wasn't having it. The Johnson fight was scheduled, but when a guy pulls out on numerous occasions one of those injuries have got to be fake. To be fair Hopkins backed out of the deal with Joe and I give Cal the benefit of the doubt on that somewhat.

I think the deal with a prime Roy Jones was a case of both of them not wanting to fight each other to be fair. But Calzaghe definitely made a blatant case of admitting he didn't want the fight.

Now when I see Warren matching his fighters up with guys like Katsidis and Tszyu I don't necessarily view those fighters on the level of Pudwill. So why did it take so long for Calzgahe to step up? Hatton wasn't that protected before the Tszyu because he fought Vince Phillips who had a win over Kosta.

Calzaghe went out of his way not to fight the best basically is what I'm trying to say.

Warren has been a bit better lately in terms of putting his fighters against decent opposition.

its not even an argument. joe c was protected his entire career. fact: he fought only his last two fights in america where the big fights happen, against two old fighters. he wanted way more money than he was worth and it was well known the only way he would have fought roy or bhop was in his backyard. he had no grounds to make these demands. roy and hop where the best at the time. joe didnt deserve to make any calls. warren is a p.o.s. and if you agree with him as a boxing promoter then you just dont know the facts.

And tonight we would have seen Khan v Maidana or Khan v Bradley if Khan had stayed on with Frank Warren, according to Warren himself. (Not that I believe him)
