He could fight Murray, which would be a good bout. Or he could fight Khan if he were to lose. He can certainly recover.

The fight was no surprise to me. What surprises is all these people saying Mitchell will be back. Maybe they're just being nice. The only road back from that humilating defeat is a long, hard and cold one.

You could see from round one Katsidis had it all over him in power, speed and aggression.

Mitchell is the kind of fighter that if brought up right, he could have been something good. He was far too protected for long periods in his career, and when it came time to step up, he didn't have the experience or ability to make a mark. Add in the fact that he has no business fighting at lightweight. He was dwarfed by Katsidis last night.

From now on, Mitchell needs to be matched against solid fighters that are going to push, pressure, and hurt him for 12 rounds. He needs to learn. He has the youth, talent, and natural attributes to be a force, but he can't be allowed to get comfortable. He didn't know how to deal with Katsidis last night and that hurt him.

His career needs to look like this for the next few fights -

                1) Some average domestic British fighter
                2) John Murray
                3) Amonsot
                4) Jesus Chavez
                5) David Diaz
                6) Maybe a title qualifier of some sort

I gotta agree with dude, he shoulda stopped talking about Khan because Khan would spank him. I never fancied Mitchell as Katsidis had mixed in a much higher level of opponent. I think the Diaz/Marquez winner will probably vacate.

I still don't get why Katsidis was the underdog in this fight.
