I thought boxing was dead in England?Britain's domestic scene is the strongest it's ever been. Even in the days of Lewis, Hatton and Calzaghe we haven't had so many top prospects. Tonight, one of our best prospects failed to pass the test.
Mitchell wasn't exposed and Mitchell isn't a bum. He's just an inexperienced fighter who took on a challenge. You criticize our fighters when they take it safe and fight easy fights and you criticize our fighters when they step-up against tough opposition and lose.
It's nearly time, in a few years Britain will have a new star. Mitchell tried and failed, but there are many more to replace him. Many more prospects who have had better amateur backgrounds then Mitchell. Many more prospects who are hungrier and stronger than Mitchell.
We will be back and we will be stronger than ever.

good thing boxing is a world sport.
...and I wouldnt consider Pacquiao the best fighter of the last 20 years without some more looking into it. 20 years is a long time. youve got to consider that hes in competition with guys like Roy Jones Jr, Mayweather Jr, Hopkins, and technically you could even throw Whitaker in there, since he was in the middle portions of his Lightweight career in 1990.
whoops, you said 10 years. nevermind. ha.Comment
