At least if he fights Chagaev, it'll be the first live HW Haye fights (he's still a ducker though).

I think Haye needs someone like Chagaev to hone his heavyweight skills and get more experience. He will eventually fight the klitschko's. It's not unreasonable that he gets another fight in first. The gulf is huge between Vitali/Wlad and Ruiz, Valuev, Barrett.

To be fair Valuev was a live opponent as well.

Posts like this wouldn't be so damn annoying if it wasn't Haye himself who stated that he wasn't gonna waste any time fighting also rans and would go straight after the Klitschkos.

Fighting Chagaev will do nothing to prepare anyone for what the Klitschkos bring to the table.

This is very true. Especially the first paragraph.

Valuev had lost his previous fight against Holyfield, he only had his high ranking because on paper he "won".

Well hopefully more people will follow your example and boycott the Haye-Chagaev fight.

I don't know why you even mention Adamek, the chances of Haye fighting him are even slimmer than the chances he fights the Klitschkos.

Adamek would kick his ass and Haye would only get 20% of what he would make getting his ass kicked by Wlad or Vitali. Haye is not gonna put himself in a fight that he might actually lose.

If Valuev were a live opponent he wouldn't have been beaten by a guy who threw 12 punches per round for the entire fight.

Valuev looked good against Lyakovich but ever since then he has regressed in every single fight.
