All, by the way, are more credible opponents than Malignaggi and Khan could have fought any one of them in the States or here.

Maybe I should have texted Amir about it instead but who knows what I would have received back in reply!

When I took Naseem Hamed to New York for his first fight there he, like Khan, appeared at Madison Square Garden.

But while Naz was upstairs in the big arena in front of 17,000 fans, Khan fights in the 5,000-capacity theatre.

TV backers HBO are putting it on one of their junior shows, Boxing After Dark, while ITV picked it up for next to nothing.

Has Khan forgotten that, just months after he was sc****d off the canvas against Breidis Prescott, I delivered him Marco Antonio Barrera and a world title shot against Andreas Kotelnik?

As for the fight, it will be a big surprise if Khan doesn't win.

Frank is lying as usual. There will be 15,000 fans not 5,000.

I don't see how that will be possible given that Khan is fighting in a smaller venue that has a capacity of around 5,000.

But although Frank goes on about his ex-fighters every chance he gets, i feel that Khan should have shown more loyalty to Frank after the way Frank revived his career. He is still young and boxing is not ending anytime soon so I don't know why Khan is in such hurry.

I don't think Khan would get the support that Hatton got and I believe his fighting style will win him a lot of fans in the US.

You can't fit 15,000 fans into the theatre at Madison Square Garden, so he is telling the truth.

The WaMu theater has a capacity of 5600, going to be pretty hard fitting 15000 in.
