To all those critisizing the Pinoys for electing Manny Pacquiao

Your main arguements are that he didn't finish the 3rd grade so hes not befitting to be a Politician, well tell me this; Who would be a better leader, a person who grew up in luxuries and have had their needs fulfilled throughout their livelihood (like most politicians) or a person who grew up in poverty and knows the situation his people are in and knows better than anyone else how to address the situation?

I dont know the person he is up against but I still believe the best of knowledge is that which is gained through life experiences, not through reading books and giving speeches.

I know this is a boxing forum, but I feel its important to address this situation after seeing many people bashing the Phillipino people.

Who cares, man. Most of the people in this forum don't live there, so what does their opinions matter. ****, we elected Bush twice and had a dumb **** in Palin running Alaska, so who are we to say anything.

pay no attention to these people. They simply say those things because they don't like Pacquiao because he is better than their favorite boxer. Its nothing personal with the Filipinos.

In USA, they voted for a former bodybuilder and action-movie actor as governor of the richest state in the country, and they voted for a WWE athlete as Governor of another one.

A boxer in congress is nothing to be ashamed about and if anything its great for the sport.

Seriously it takes a lot of knowledge to make and implement public policies. Whether you grew up in the slums or were fed with a silver spoon, competence is the number one quality anyone wants in a leader.

Pacquiao is letting his advisors do all the hard work while he gains public support for policies he doesnt even make himself (which a congressman should). Would you want your lawyer to be a Kobe Bryant while he hires another lawyer to plead your case?

I also read Michael Marleys article stating he wants to build 12 boxing gyms in his state in areas that are inhabited more by cattle than people....

              Good points.

Appreciate when people actually try and have dialogues instead of bashing eachother.

That doesnt justify anything. If the majority of the electorate in the US chose the same fool twice doesnt mean they cant criticize philipinos for making the same mistake at least once
