Mark My Words- Amir Khan will DESTROY Paulie Malignaggi TONIGHT!!

If nothing else, Malignaggi has the relative veteran status and experience in his favor - Khan hasn't been in any fights as meaningful, just big events in the UK with a lot of pomp surrounding them.
And while I don't doubt Amir's heart, I think Paul has an edge there, too, just because his is so big.
And I definitely don't think Amir is the smarter fighter - if Malignaggi is able to frustrate his Plan A, let's see what he does then.Comment

Hatton was actually quicker on his feet than malignaggi, a guy who has poor defence for a 'slickster'.
Against Diaz he did throw his right hand a lot more frequently though, which is a fast and accurate punch.
All in all, I think it wil go the distance but that khan will be well ahead on the cards.Comment

But maybe everything will go smoothly for Khan from the jump in this fight. I'm hoping it doesn't.

Hatton has that very good footspeed.Comment

Yes he is a different offensive fighter when he's freely throwing that right hand. My doubts about Malignaggi are really regarding his defence. He is too easy to hit for a guy with no punching power. He was getting tagged a lot by ngoudjo and n'dou, both of whom are pretty limited in their attacks.
I actually agree with your comment above about Khan. He hasn't looked completely natural in the ring as a pro. He has some amazing natural hand speed though which, coupled with better all-round game under roach, I think will be too much for malignaggi.Comment

I enjoyed his performances against Diaz a lot as a fan, but wasn't fully convinced they represented a full renaissance of Paul to his best form just by themself, being that Diaz is smaller than Paul, somewhat blown-up even at lightweight, and was coming off some hard wars.
Malignaggi showed himself as both hittable and elusive at points in those fights, but Diaz' style ensures he'll land on you. So, all told, it's hard to be certain how close Paulie is to his best again until he steps in with a solid 140lb test (which he's got tonight). I like Sharif's back to basics, 'we're gonna fight to Paulie's strengths' philosophy to training Malignaggi, though.
Ahh, I want Paulie to win so badly tonight. He deserves it so much.Comment

I know people on youtube like Dwyer say Paulie is one-handed (left),but I would be willing to wager he will use his right in this fight...hopefully his limited power is enough to crack Khan's limited chin...you never know- Paulie's right stunned Diaz with an uppercut...Comment

I don't see how Paulie will be able to keep Amir off of him....I can't see it....but on the flipside, I can't see how Amir won't allow this moment to get the BEST of him.....he seems like he's worked up and bent on IMPRESSIN' in his U.S. debut....that could work against him big time....his birth certificate may be good as far as speed and reflexes, but he's STILL a kid MENTALLY and we all saw what happened to Naz when he came over and danced with Kelly....he had to get off the ground a FEW times but had the POWER and chin to swim the deep waters and drown Kelly in front of his hometown crowd....classic scrap that!!.....this could be classic as well, I like BOTH dudes the same and just hope for a good scrap with CLEAR winner!!

i see khan stepping up a level and showing better ring generalship.
hele be able to close off the ring real good, unlike a slow plodding diaz,or a ndou who cant close off a ring!.
his speed and ability to get off first with several punches and back his guy up will be a big advantage in this fight.
paulie being more a one handed fighter than a 2 handed fighter will be his downfall as much as his lack in power.
paulie going in to Ko khan will backfire on him, khan can counter well, and paulie will prob realise khans chin isnt as bad as whats been said.Comment
