There was no Wlad fight the second time around, ever. Don't act like the Wlad fight was signed, and this Vitali fight will never ever happen. He already ducked Vitali to fight Valuev, remember?

Or he's just doing the standard negotiating bull**** of pretending to fight somebody else so he can get a better deal. Wlad wants the Haye fight more than Haye does at this point in time. If Haye comes out with some nonsense right before the deadline about how he really wants to fight Vitali then Wlad might make him a better offer.

Wouldn't read too much into this sort of thing until the deadline has actually passed.

It could all just be BS, or maybe Haye's team want to pull as much money as possible.

For example, if Haye fights Vitali and loses, people might still want Haye to fight Wladimir next (since he's widely viewed as the easier brother to beat). Haye gets paychecks for two Klitschko fights this way.

But if Haye fights Wladimir first and loses, he's done. There would be no hype for a Vitali-Haye fight, especially if Wlad completely destroys him.

In reality, Haye probably complains about the purse split and goes for an Adamek fight instead.
