I agree. I could not even level him a notch below the likes of SRL, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Ali. Pac is almost there with those greats IMO.

Where have you seen Floyd Mayweather go out an use his offense to put on a great performance? Just because you make guys run into your potshot doesn't mean you have a better offense.

The difference between Mayweather and Pacquiao is that Manny creates his own offense. Mayweather waits until you punch yourself out. Mayweather did a little bit in this sense against Mosley but come on now that was a shell of the "old" Mosley....and the "old" Mosley had no defense to begin with

Nobody praises Mayweather for bringing up his power, they praise and praise Manny for his power punching.

Just because you land 100 out of the 300 punches you throw doesn't mean you have great offense. If Mayweather's offense is so great than why doesn't he throw more? Why doesn't he go for the knockout? Is he just a talented coward?

If you think he's just playing it safe, then why does he complain that the American public doesn't support him? He danced around Ricky Hatton for 10 or 11 rounds, he danced around with Oscar, he was on the bike the whole fight against Baldomir.. Do you have any idea how much of a star Mayweather would be if he stopped all those guys like Pacquiao stopped his opponents? Plus, he supposedly has better offense than Manny, so it should be easier to stop all these guys.

I just don't get it. How does Mayweahter have better offense when Manny stops more opponents? It's like saying Whitaker had better offense than Oscar de La Hoya...Why did Pernell run the whole time then?
It's Floyd not Pac who is the best fighter in the world.

Manny's offense, although I agree is good, is catered to immobile guys that can't slip away. Good luck trying that **** on Mayweather. Dude's gonna be missing all nite and countered to death.

At the time pac lost he was not even considred top 50 in offense. Its about now. What they have done recently. Manny proved it with his perfomances the past few years.

you talking like you don't understand Boxing my dude, honestly man. Mayweather has a better offense and defense than Pacquiao because he's able to get hit less in return. Pacquiao doesn't fight smart he fights brutal and reckless at times he just throws so much that nobody can make him pay, Marquez and Morales showed how to beat Pacquiao which is with short, HARD counterpunches to neutralize his offense and good ring movement, this is a fight plan which is something that must be created based on each individual fighter.

there is a reason Floyd ****** out and came forward with Gatti (R.I.P) and didn't do it with no one else until the Mosley fight, this is because for every different fighter you face you're supposed to build a fight plan for them specifically, his base style is defensive and he's the best at that but what makes him better than Pacquiao offensively is when he throws at you it's a lot harder for you to catch him flush with a counter than it is with anyone else, even threw his offense he manages to defend, Marquez ROCKED the **** out of Pacquiao in both fights due to counters yet when he tried that with Floyd he couldn't find him.

it's also about fighter approach, as I said above Mayweather is defense first, ofense second and Pacquiao is offense first and offense 2nd, he is all offense because even when losing all you see is him coming forward ****ing away. his being offensive minded makes it so that his fight plans are built solely off offense hence his quicker finishes, that's cool but imagine when he faces someone with the lateral skills to make him miss and counter him and with good leg movement, someone who will hit him back hard each and every time he makes a mistake the way Joshua Clottey didn't, someone who doesn't make the mistake of ****ing away with Pacquiao or being TOO defensive against him, Floyd can do ALL of that and that's why he's better both offensively and defensively over Pacquiao
