Who were you expecting to turn up Pernell Whitaker? He Knocked his man down in the second round and took a UD 60-53 on all cards. "Easy Work, easy fight"

no. he looked terrible. too easy to hit, lazy in the ring and arrogant as hell.
he took more flush shots than he should becuz he was fighting with his head up, hands down and becuz he was fighting like a damn clown.
he's so much better than that.

He needs a new trainer really bad. All his trainer kept telling him is that he was doing good (even when he clearly wasn't) and gave him no advice. It sucks because you can see the talent he has...

He looked just like I've seen him in his last few previous fights, but he got away with it because his competition was so bad. In this fight he just barely squeaked it out...

from a technical aspect he's ok, he does a lot of pretty advanced sht. he's just not consistent with it and doesnt seem to be pushed outside of the ring.

ya know it could be one of those things where vernon is just a tough kid to train cuz he's such an idiot.

Paris looked bad last night. I'm gonna try to make it out to one of his next local shows and see if has shown any progression. I doubt he will be in with even a C- fighter though.

He looked like crap on the Dirrell card as well.

The guy smokes weed. Nothing wrong with that but it's no surprise that his conditioning sucks and always will.

He's also a complete idiot outside of the ring. He left MI after getting shot and went to Florida. He then beat up a woman if Florida and the people who were training him told him to go away and they didn't want anything to do with him so now hes back in Detroit.

Despite the fact that he has been shot and stabbed and claims to be changing his life his corner and a bunch of thugs still showed up for the AA-Dirrell weight in wearing shirts that said "Vernon Paris - Crime Family"

He's an undisciplined thug who happens to have some boxing talent but he will never make it to the world class level.

Sometimes you see a fighter for the first time and you become an instant fan. Sometimes it's just the opposite.

Paris sucks.

Last night he was in beyond-terrible condition, low-blowed his opponent twice, used illegal backhands, and was was doing excessive shoulder rolls against a weak, blown-up opponent, thinking he was a superstar.

He only low blowed his opponent because the guy had his protector and trunks almost up to his *******.

Paris needs to stop smoking. Bud or cigarettes whichever it is. He looked great in the first two rounds, world class. But then he just completely gassed out.
