You don't go in after a few months of training (Mayorga may not have even bothered training) and beat a guy who has been training in MMA for years, probably wrestled in school from a young age and so on.

hes held his own and beat Jens Pulver back in the day before Jens was the champ and one of the best at the time. hes a vet and has been doing this for awhile. back in 2002 he had a shot for the lw title. the only way Mayorga wins if he lands a shot. Thomas should just take him down and choke him out or ground n pound him or make him tap with a arm or leg submission. no big deal if Mayorga wins anyways. how does that do anything or help boxing? theres already been fighters from others sports winning mma fights.
